It is the place where 3,200 years ago the people of the Bronze Age built t<strong>he largest <em>fortification <\/em>in Europe<\/strong>. It was during the same time as the fall of Mycenaean Greece, the great Tollense battle between local and invading tribes, Ramsess&#8217; battle against the Hittites, Sea People&#8217;s incursions in the Mediterranean, and the fall of Troy. It was the start of the Bronze Age collapse. So <strong>why would we find this large enclosure spanning 1,600 hectares here<\/strong>? Join us as we explore this huge place <strong>best seen from the air<\/strong>, just as the Nazca geoglyphs are best observed from above. In fact, when flying into Timisoara, you probably flew over it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The size of the so-called fortification is unimaginable and the best times to visit it are in Winter or Summer when the ground is dry.
